About the Artist

Working between New York and Paris, Richard T Scott is known for his contemporary figurative paintings. His work has been compared to the New Old Masters, the movement given name by the eminent art historian and critic Donald Kuspit.

Richard has produced reproductions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Frick Collection, and the Louvre.

His work is part of important collections around the world such as the Austrian Embassy and Odd Nerdrum, and has been auctioned at Sotheby's and Phillips de Pury & Company.

Richard holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from The New York Academy of Art, renowned for its synthesis of the classical tradition of figurative art and contemporary art theory.

He is a co-founder of and a contributor to Sustainable Art, a collaborative forum seeking creative ecological solutions in the practice of art making, and the collaborative art publication Art Babel.
